President Bush Saves the Automakers – For Now
Denver – Good morning, everybody! I hope your governmentally-bailed out week has been good. BLARP! BLARP! EXCITING SENTENCE TO CATCH YOUR ATTENTION: word comes from Washington, D.C. that President Bush has scrapped the American capitalistic financial system in favor of Barack Obama’s socialist-spending programs!
Bankruptcy will become a thing of the past! Fiscal accounting will become obsolete!
MBA degrees will no longer be offered at Ivy League schools!

Wow! That iced chai sure had a kick to it this morning!
Seriously, though, according to news reports, Chrysler and General Mismanagement (GM) have to produce adequate plans to Congress by March 31, 2009 to ‘splain how the two automakers will repay the loans ($9.4 billion for GM; $4 billion for Chrysler) that President Bush set aside for them.
“Allowing the auto companies to collapse is not a responsible course of action,” President Bush said, citing danger for the entire national economy as well as the carmakers. Bankruptcy, he said, would deal “an unacceptably painful blow to hardworking Americans” across the economy. [Courtesy Yahoo]
What this means is that if the automakers do not come up with a plan by next March, we will start this whole process all over again.
