President-Elect Obama Visits White House Today
Denver – Good morning, everybody! I hope your weekend went well. Barack Obama is no longer a human being! He no longer eats human food, either – he will now eat only ambrosia! And! Plus! Obama does not breathe air – he is now a living, national holiday!
I am not kidding you!
Anyway .. Obama and his wife will be visiting the White House later today in a “meet and greet” session with outgoing President Bush and his wife, Laura. Officials are reporting that the meeting will be “uncomfortable at best” because Obama profusely and roundly criticized President Bush during the 2008 Presidential Election.
Adding to the tension will be a conversation between the two men:
Obama: That election was something wasn’t it? Nothing personal.
Bush: Yessirree. At least Sarah Palin made you sweat, didn’t she? (Chuckles)
Obama: Yes, she did.
[Awkward silence]
Obama: Would you?
Bush: Yes, I would. Would you?
Obama: You betcha!
[Both laugh uproariously]
I digress!
To be a fly on the wall at the White House today ..
Laters, gators ..

LOL! Wud love to be a fly on the way too!
By the way, polls show Bush as the most unpopular President, even worse than Nixon!
Well…..Obama day, is going toooooooo far….. Who’s idea was it anyway??? lol
As I said in another blog….it would probably sit well with the Feds to have additional holiday.
Idol worship before Obamessiah begins his term, LOL. You’d think he done died and gone to heaven already.
He’s the new kid on the block, fer pete’s sake. Get real, folks.
As for sexy Sarah, she’s the reason “guys are guys”. Damn straight!
Veteran’s Day coming up….it’s tomorrow. They ought to spend some time with their kids.
I wanna sleepover party! Yay!
Per the Politico via Yahoo, Palin recently stated that the GOP ticket was too status quo!
What’s with her statement? Perhaps, she was too disappointed in GOP.
Off the point, Gosh, it just breaks my heart about the school collapse in Haiti.

Gotta do something about getting these web videos captioned!
Will somebody spend some money and give that ugly butt Michelle a makeover quick please!!1
Sheri ..
I agree – why aren’t the videos captioned or subtitled?
Oh! And speaking of which, why isn’t Obamessiah’s web site, Change.gov not offering captioning/subtitles for videos?
http://www.change.gov
Interesting that Obama addresses all Americans, including minorities, “disabled and non-disabled”, in his victory speech. Unfortunately, for the d/Deaf, the speech is not captioned.
Or are we “non-disabled”?
deaf people should band together and demand that videos be captioned and threaten a lawsuit if they aren’t captioned since ADA requires the government to provide accessbility.
Paotie, totally agree – and I did mention it to folks involved with his campaign prior to the elections. They did have some success in getting many videos captioned that were shown, but many of us were unaware because it was located under the “media” tab on the campaign website. Now this new one, I have contacted the same folks requesting that this be brought to his attention as its beyond frustrating! Agree with netrox. Actually, how many of us demand this of our own Governor in our own states about their videos not being captioned?
Yeah, I guess that is covered under section 508. Lawsuit should be the last resort. I think we need to remind them of their requirement first before we do anything drastic. Come to think of it, many agencies are stuck with less budget for FY 09 than they were for FY 08. Even so, they should be able to find someone to subtitle it since it is free online….
Let me tell you something about government….remember the toilet seat fiasco years ago? Nothing has changed. Government has contracts with several vendors who normally charge high rate to government entities whereas the same vendor would charge a lower rate with the public for like items. This still exists to this day. Perhaps this is one thing that Obama’s team needs to look into, to save money and use the “wasted” money for other programs like effective captioning.
Sheri ..
I hope the Obama Impaireds realize that there are currently some 30+ million Americans who would benefit from captioning/subtitles. And! That figure is expected to grow significantly over the next decade as Baby Boomers lose their hearing (Hippie years were unkind to Hippie ears?)
A little common sense would also suggest that captioning/subtitles HELPS GET THE MESSAGE OUT. (Caps added for the Obama Impaired).
Paotie, smile….Hippie years were definitely unkind to Hippie ears! Which reminds me, I cracked up when my son text’d me last month that he was with a group of kids, on their way to SF to attend the “Love Fest”. I said, “what the heck is a love fest?” He said, “its where a whole lotta people get together and give a lotta love!” Lol! I said, “ohhhh you mean like as in Woodstock from the ’60′s?” Smile, apparently so!
Annyyhoo…where was I? Oh…captioning web-based videos is a huge beef of all of ours…I dont think its covered under 225 – FCC regs. Lemme double check…and ummm…I think its rather the case for the “Candidates impaired” as its the case with most campaigns. But okay okay, Obama is da man now so undy the “need” target to him.
Better not tell your son about Mary Jane at the Love Fest or Woodstock. Even plze better not to tell him about the nude thing, even the three letters on the ground. That *WAS* the 60′s……shhhh….
Gotta love to be hippie in the ole’ days. Good people around the world are the hippies, even today. Peace out.
Be good to him, Sheri.
I hope they hid the silverware, the SObama’s will probably loot the White House as the Clinton’s did.
Hmmm… historians will rewrite Bush’s time at the White House… time has a way of making any presidents look more kind or human. Like Nixon was well-liked just before his death.
I am sure when Obama makes a mistake, Bush will look good… tis the way of media. I don’t envy Obama for his upcoming presidency… especially in these rough times.
I bet that Bush’s popularity will slowly rise as he prepares to leave White House… already the media is being nice… check out this link:
