2008 Presidential Election: Undecided Voters, Unite!
Denver – Good afternoon, everybody! I hope your Monday went well. I have a very important announcement to make: my vote is now irrelevant! I am an undecided and independent voter and there are only 1 percent of us left before tomorrow! I am appalled! I am shocked! UNDECIDED VOTERS, UNITE!
HaHa!
Wouldn’t that be really cool? I mean, what if 1 million independent and undecided voters came to the Green Couch and we all hashed out whom we liked/disliked?
Yah!
Anyway .. according to the story at CNN:
“In our last poll, we only had about 1 percent who said they were undecided and only about 4 percent who said they might consider changing their minds. So there is hardly anyone left who could be considered undecided, or even persuadable,” says CNN polling director Keating Holland.
Somehow, I find that hard to believe – unless ALL the undecided voters in the US are here at the Green Couch.
Either way, I told somebody yesterday that, “No matter who wins, we all lose.”
Yup.
Anyway, if you can think of ONE unique reason why any undecided voter should vote for Obama or McCain (or someone else), please let us know.
Cool?

I just got an email from my sister who is agog over Obama…she saw my comment about being undecided on my FaceBook and she immediately emailed to me the link. Funny though… Check it out:

No comments… I am still undecided ;o)
Ya know, it will probably come down to the actual punchline, er, punch-hole, er…whaddya call ‘em, those thingies in the Florida voting flap at the 2000 election?
Could it be possible that we’ll have a very close 50-50 ratio of votes and then the usual uproar over the electoral college votes stealing what voters regard as rightful vote?
Horrors of horrors, a re-election? Crap, don’t think I could stand even more hyperbole…
Ann ..
HaH! You mean them hangin’ chads?
Whatever happens, I do not want a repeat of 2000.
Karen ..
I read the links you gave – awesome! They’re both really good and thank you!
Paotie
Karen,
That was some cool article you had linked up there. New Atheism?
Paotie, care to elaborate on that one?
New Christianity? Never heard of it. Gonna check on that, might as well check on New Atheism since, I’m sure Paotie is busy trying to make a decision…how many hours do we have left?
As far as undecided voters goes, I doubt it is one percent…see, I had a few conversations with my co-workers today, and they all are unsure. None of them likes either of them.
Even the pregnant chads? Too many pregnant chads that gave the officials a huge headache. Blame on him……
Al Gore has been really quiet since he won the oscar award on the environmental documentary last year……
Paotie,
We might see a repeat of 2000 in Florida. There are some 5000 felons who have already voted in Florida when they’re not supposed to. All part and parcel with the voter registration fraud and Florida had 4 years to do something about the felons voting.
This was reported a few days ago in the Sun Sentinel Fort Lauderdale.
Candy, show your workers my recent short article on “Spreading the wealth”…
Candy ..
Yah, I know .. New Christianity. New Atheism. New Media.
Strange times we live in, ain’t it? And like you, many of my friends and colleagues are also undecided.
Crazy pollsters!
Paotie
McConnell ..
Always Florida, isn’t it? Yah, I would not be surprised at a repeat of 2000.
That’d suck, dude.
A repeat of Florida would suck double-time.
If you’re watching Saturday Night Live right now – AWESOME!
“The Bush Doctrine was not about politics.” – Sarah Palin (Fey)
And the Katie Couric interview with Palin (Fey) was hilarious.
Commercial break almost over ..

Damn, I missed SNL!
Had other stuffs I had to do, but, I’m sure I can catch that re-run someday.
I couldn’t help but notice, you said “pull the lever” at the other post. You’re serious? Colorado still has them levers? Here where I am, it’s put an X in a box. Lever sounds fun.
Mike, mission accomplished.
Well, good luck guys. I’m hoping to beat the crowd and vote as soon as the polling door opens. Cuz the lines are usually LONG. And, I don’t want to be stuck in a long line at all…..
Go OBAMA!!!!! Note: I tend to dream about my presidents, and I do NOT want to be dreaming about McCain.
Well, I am back from the polling site… I voted for Obama. I was NOT crazy about both candidates, but I sense America is ready for more drastic changes, so oh-BAM-a is it.
LOL!!!
at Jodi, not wanting to dream about McCain!
Neither do I, but, I rarely dream….
I’m heading out to the polls in a few min…running late as usual…
Don’t forget to go to the Starbucks….once you show your sticker, I voted, they will give you a free of coffee!
so does Krispy Kreme and Ben and Jerry’s.
Yummy, they”ll make you a break from the biggest losers!
to undecides:
Pick out the lesser evil candidate.
Write-in your candidate of preference.
Or, NOTA.
