Speaking of Hocokan, he was all over the place this summer, how could anyone NOT miss his blogging? Now he’s dropped out of sight, as far as I know. Does he vlog on DVTV now?

I apologize for not making myself clear about which Deaf community I was referring to. I was referring to the extremists who are anti-CIs and believe that sign language is the ONLY right way, not people like you, Candy, White Ghost, Karen Mayes, and many others who I can name.

Don’t judge too, too many deaf people who raised the only deaf world. They are good deaf people who raised themselves right. Take a nicest look at Dr. Hocokan. (He provided the substantial evidences against the DBC’s chaos when the DBC conference was over last June. He owned the DBC Facts blog before it removed.) He was raised by deaf family and relatives but he have respected so many moral values. His deaf parents have raised him right.

Education is something that we need to provide. There are so many good deaf people who will treat you much nicer, just like Candy mentioned to you. *smile* I’m one of them.

Nah, if you met the right kind of deaf people out in the deaf community, there are deaf people out there that will treat you nicer! I dunno, but I’m from the midwest and usually we are friendlier of the bunch (so they say.) Anyway, what you see here online isn’t a true reflection of the deaf people out there. You’ll see them, yes! But, they’re in the minority. Whew….

Take for example, DBC, many people I know went there. But, they had no idea of the depth for which DBC stood for. They thought, “Just encourage deaf babies to sign.” What DBC did was to implement a “scare tactic” about C.I. and AGB. Unfortunately, people in general tend to swallow too much fishes. Say one thing like: “Deaf culture is at risk of being extinct due to cochlear implant” and many will take other people’s word without checking out facts. Next thing you know, there’s a protest!

HaHa! That’s a great article. As you can see on Jodi’s blog at this moment, I’m absolutely frustrated with Deaf Experts!

I’m so glad that my parents didn’t raise me in the Deaf community. I would’ve been too embarrassed to be part of that community.
