I agree. Thompson clearly could/should/would have finished the fight, especially whilst he was trying to rain elbows onto Slice. I couldn't help but notice the old refrain about big, muscle bound dudes like Thompson: they fatigue easily. And yes, I saw Kimbo say, "Wow!" at the end of the fight. I also think Slice needs to work on balance because he FELL rather .. awkwardly, especially for an MMA fighter. Time is running out on Kimbo Slice, too. He really needs to learn to grapple and while he tried a few submissions, his glaring weakness seems to be the ground game. I knew that Thompson would take Slice down since wrestling is his favorite. Noticed Thompson's cauliflowered left ear from years of wrestling? Besides, the fight was called off because Kimbo managed to pop that ear and got it to bleed heavily. Looks like the fight was called off a bit prematurely...much to Slice's relief. Did you see him shake his head and mouthed the word "Wow!" after raising his hand declaring him the winner? Anyway, Kimbo's in a heap of trouble knowing that his ground game absolutely sucked (with the exception of doing the scissor kick getting him back on top of Jameson). And Jameson was an idiot trying to do the wrestling move on him half the time that Kimbo successfully prevented Jameson from taking him down...only until then. And he did the Gracie move on the ground with Kimbo using his weight to tire him out and do the usual ground and pound. Not as an exciting fight in my opinion but worth the watch. But I just find it interesting because his picture was posted on the board in the hallway between classrooms about being selected one of best defensive players in the state of Florida. So, just a couple of years ago a friend of mine linked me a youtube video of his fighting on street and was saying that was Kevin!! I was like holy s... *silent* .... that was him?! It's just weird cuz his name stuck in my mind all of these years and now he is, Kimbo Slice fights in the ring! What a small world. We swore he would have played for Univ of Miami football only given a chance but for some reason he never played even tho he attended there for like 2 yrs or less. So, I was rooting for him but for sure he needs more of training because he don't know how to get up to get away so with a lot of training, he is gonna be very dangerous, I think. It was a good idea to stop the fight or else he would have aim for Thompson's ear once again to make it worse to weaken him even more. -SG Paotie!
