I was in a lot of pain last night and my pee is orange. Sorry if that's too much information. I haven't eaten today. I don't know what to eat, but at leats I am not in pain when I'm not digesting food. So here we go again. . . a hard-of-hearing friend just joined DeafRead about a week ago. I blogged about her blog a little. She's a wonderful person. She's HH, has worked in advocacy for deaf/deaf-blind all her life. She has just gone back to school this past year to get another degree. She has a blog called aradicalsabbatical that was published in DeafRead for the first time about 10 days ago. Her blog is about her school experiences. Now it's suddenly been "inactivated" As you know, blogs only become inactive when people haven't posted for a couple months. Her last post was on. . . let's see. . . They published on Feb. 1st. She posted to her blog again on Feb. 3rd, then again on Feb 8th. I noticed "a work in progress" has suddenly become "inactive" again even though she has been posting regularly too. I read a post last night where one of them complained once again about Mikes vlogging orally, yet in the same sentence she criticized his ASL skills (which none of us have seen). But she said he was at a fourth-grade level. Sometimes I feel we can't win. If you use ASL, they criticize. Who wouldn't feel more comfortable using their voice? Then, if you vlog orally and caption, they get pissed off. Oh-- and I loved the comment by the person who said she couldn't stand to sit through his vlog. She would rather just read a transcript. Good Gawd! Do she watch movies?? With an attitude like that she'll take us back to the 70's before anything was captioned. I'm sorry Paotie-- off subject I know. I'm just venting.
