Say What Club is an on-line forum made up of several on-line lists. There are general lists and specialized lists. I belong to two lists– World and CI (which I joined to learn more about because I’m mulling over the Cochlear hybrid, but probably not going to go thru with it). World is just a general list. Once a year we have a convention in a US city where we meet to have workshops on deaf related topics and socialize. This year it will be in Philly. Last year it was in Vegas. The year before that St. Louis. Before that, Clearwater, FL. Before that, Minniapolis. Before that, Seattle. Before that, San Diego. Before that, Atanta. Before that, Chicago. . .Before that, I don’t know because I wasn’t a member. You can see they try to have the Conventions all over so those who can’t travel far can go at least every so often. It’s free to join, and OK to lurk.

They are on-line all day, every day, and friendly.

Check it out! If it’s not your cup of tea, you can always drop.

Let me get this right, hearing child of deaf and hard of hearing? I’ve always felt hard of hearing kids are more like CODAs, more so than deaf of deaf. So, when I saw that I thought oh, there’s hard of hearing child of deaf adults. wow…lots of labels for all kinds of deaf people eh? Thanks for enlightening me~
