Denver – Later today, I will be out snowboarding somewhere in the central Rockies in Colorado. And like golf, snowboarding is one way that I can “level the playing field” without needing to hire attorneys, protest, hire advocacies or whatever else. In fact, there is no more honest way to determine your skills than snowboarding down steep mountain slopes without anyone to help you, warn you, or even interpret for you. If you fall, it’s your fault. If you make it down the mountain in one piece, it’s your fault. But mostly, I love snowboarding because it’s so much fun, liberating and above all, the hot girls in hot pink make me hot!

What the HECK are you doing here!?!? I told you NOT to come here yesterday, didn’t I?!?

Yesterday’s post said:

DO NOT COME HERE!

But, what’d you do? You showed up! You .. you .. people! Have you no shame!?!

*laughs*

Gotcha!

So, instead of reading more of my writing, I decided to give you a few blogs/vlogs to check out today whilst I’m out snowboarding and scoping the hot pink outfits that hot girls wear on the ski slopes. Consider this a public service announcement of sorts – I intend to do my part to make the world a better, happier, friendlier and apparently, pink world.

Onwards!

In random order, the first vlogger is Seek Geo, and he makes great videos that belong on the Discovery Channel (makes me wonder, maybe we should all start yelling at Discovery Channel to hire Seek Geo to make documentaries?). And another thing about Geo – he’s very open-minded and has even gone the extra mile to provide captioning on his vlogs for those people not fluent in ASL.

So, check him out today if you can. Click here to see Seek Geo.

I made a new friend yesterday, too. She found my blog and in return, piqued my interest in her own blog, so I checked it out. Let me tell you something about my friend, Patty – she is a true survivor, and still, if you look at her blogs and her attitude, you can see this is a woman who has a beautiful soul.

She finds the beauty in life where most other people would not. And the world is a much better place – at least mine is – for having people like Patty in it.

Somewhere in the romantic countryside of Tuscany, in Italy, lives an American mom with her deaf son, who also has a cochlear implant. Jodi is the exotic American living in Italy, who also happens to wear “tight” jeans and other things best left to Paotie’s imagination.

Regardless, I happen to like Jodi’s blogs because I think it’s quite cute that she would be so girlie-girl happy when a young girl sent Jodi’s son a flirty text message. Now, this is important to me, because when I was in high school, I actually (true story) won a HUGE trophy for “Biggest flirt.”

And since Jodi is a big flirt .. Click here to see An American Mom in Tuscany.

The next blog came from pink-lovin’ readers in yesterday’s article (telling you, NOT TO COME HERE), and why this blogger isn’t on DeafRead remains unknown to me. Anyway, if one of Paotie’s readers liked it, then it was enough for Paotie to check out (let’s not encourage Paotie to begin speaking in 3rd person, okay? It can be quite addictive for you – not Paotie), and so Paotie did.

And this web site has beautiful pictures, in fact, if you check out the blog’s pictures today, you might even see why I liked the web site, too. Can you guess it?

Paotie’s PostScript: Apparently, rumors are circulating around DeafRead that some of the editors want DeafRead to be exclusively ALL Deaf All The Time. Let me explain something to you readers – one editor left a comment indicating the he was watching the comments throughout DeafRead after a few people pissed in their pants about CI-related articles.

My response is this to the editors:

Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I’ll be watching you

*laughs*

What are YOU laughing at? YOU weren’t supposed to even be here today!

*looks at you*

HaHa! You all have a great day today, and I will see you all later tonight or tomorrow. It is now almost 4:00 a.m. and I’ve got to get going here since I have a long drive and hope the mountain passes aren’t closed, although if that happens, there’s more than enough ski areas to find later – that’s why I’m leaving at such an ungodly hour.

And yes – today’s picture has been brought to you by the Pink Crowd here on Paotie’s Green Couch. Thanks for the inspiration!

In the meantime ..

Be good .. or be good at it.

:)

Denver – This is an announcement! While not an explosive announcement, today’s announcement will be something that is still equally as readable as my previously copious announcements announcing what I’d already announced. After further consideration and deliberation – and especially geographical imputation – I have decided that I must reconsider what I was going to announce.

Gawrsh!

Anyway, what I really wanted to say was that I’ve decided to help DeafRead with their guidelines. I am not doing it for some community service award, nor am I doing it to attract hot, blonde and Deaf porn stars to my blog, either. I am doing it because I want to research a couple of things – but I cannot tell you what they are!

Nope! Nuh-uh.

To protect you, the readers, from overly emotional outbursts by my dog, I am not disclosing what I am researching. Plus, the dog’s “chew toy” has already been gnawed through, and she’s been looking at me awfully weird lately (and the girls blame me – as usual – for making the dog, “too hyper,” because I yell things like, “There goes the UPS truck!” – which causes everyone to make a mad dash to the front door).

And the investigation will reveal interesting things about DeafRead’s editors, such as their favorite Muppet‘s favorite number!

One thing we probably know that might possibly be true: somebody’s favorite number is 69.

Speaking of numbers, as part of my research methodology, I must ask a favor from you DeafRead readers. It ain’t hard to do, and I can’t compensate you for your hard work, but all I ask is you not do something: come to my blog tomorrow!

Seriously! I need my blog’s statistics to reset to zero, so that I can see how many times my dog barks at me whenever someone clicks the link to my articles on DeafRead. And lately, the dog has been awfully vocal, too – whining something about the TiVO. Anyway, it’s been a problem, okay? And I blame DeafRead for it, which is why I decided to do the research. So, do not come to my blog tomorrow at all – Thursday, January 31, 2008.

I repeat: DO NOT COME TO PAOTIE.COM TOMORROW!

That’s right! I’m seriously serious. I swear to great goddesses that you’ll either like the results of my research or you won’t because I will personally ensure that the research is totally biased and free from pesky study mites. If you did not know about study mites, then you are not alone, so don’t ask me what they are because the dog is staring awfully hard right now and someone just clicked my link at DeafRead, and now she’s snarling at me and as much as I like to see the dog snarling, the girls don’t like it because they foolishly believe I will spontaneously yell, “LOOK! There goes the MAILMAN!”

They also falsely accuse me of playing “too rough” with the dog because I type in CAPITAL letters every now and then, which seems to be some sort of “silent” canine alarm to all dogs within a 100-mile radius, and tells them, “Come join the Dog Force. Free bones and unrestricted places to lay brown deposits for puny humans to step upon! Call 1-900-DOG-FORC.”

So, anyways .. I must repeat – DO NOT RETURN HERE TOMORROW!

I will have the fantastic results of my extremely difficult research project for you on Friday. If some of you remember earlier this month, I took about a week and a half off from blogging – because I was busy supporting breast cancer research at a local topless bar – and began my undercover research.

I even included the great magazine, The National Eitoap Magazine to help with my research! And we have already discovered one thing: an award for blogging and being part of the DeafRead blogosphere exists for you readers – because without you, DeafRead and hot, blonde and Deaf porn stars would not exist. That and the fact you tolerate my articles. Or not.

DO NOT COME BACK HERE TOMORROW.

I’ll be snowboarding all day, anyway, so nobody has any reason to be here tomorrow. And if you’re one of those first-time visitors who happened to stumble upon my blog during the “black-out” on Thursday, I will personally do 1 push-up for every 2,000 first-time visitors.

And finally, the conclusion to the 3-part series: “The Emotional Internet” will be published on Monday of next week since DeafRead has it’s awards conference this weekend.

See you Friday!

Paotie’s PostScript: The picture for this article was created by someone else on flickr.com. In fact, there are a lot of pictures on flickr.com with the same picture/logo in various forms. So, don’t get mad at me – I posted it up there for ya’ll to see, and if you don’t like that picture, don’t gripe at me. Gripe at the people on flickr.com who put those pictures up, okay? Consider the picture a public service announcement for DeafRead readers to look at, reflect on it, and then hopefully, laugh at it and move on.

Life’s too short to spend it being angry.

Be good .. or be good at it.

:)

Denver – After much serious consideration and deliberation, along with some importation, I have come to a decision regarding this blog and DeafRead’s readers. With much soul-searching that included time spent in an Alaskan igloo that I made in the backyard after the last snowstorm here in Colorado, I have realized that things are not always what they seem.

Hah! Gotcha!

Just wanted to wish ya’ll a good day today! Early tomorrow morning will begin the first of a 3-part series I’ve got planned for this week for all ya’ll readers. And there might be a (good) surprise along the way, too.

So, have a great day and remember ..

Be good .. or be good at it.

:)
