Sheriff Deputy Goes on Rampage – At Least 5 Killed
Colorado Springs – A sheriff’s deputy went on a killing rampage early Sunday morning in Cradon – a city in the northeastern part of Wisconsin, and 225 miles north of Milwakaukee – and among those identified as slain include two high school students. “It’s a pretty tragic situation here,” said Forest County Supervisor Tom Vollmar, who lives just outside Crandon, Wisconsin, where the people were killed.
“There are five or six people dead.”
At this point in time, authorities have not confirmed whether the shooter has been caught or killed, but Crandon Police Chief stated, “We’re not looking for anybody anymore.”
One of the slain victims has been identified as the sheriff deputy’s girlfriend, and at this point in time, a motive has not been established for the killings. The neighborhood in which the shootings took place has been completely cordoned off by authorities as they continue their investigation.

This is indeed very sad news and also very tragic. The part that’s even sadder and more tragic is that it will get worse. When you have a country where the majority of the citizenry is armed and the making of arms is a major proponent of the US economy these things are a manifestation of the product that’s being put out. The same comments will be there: “Oh my God, he was such a nice guy, you know, just the normal person, I can’t believe it etc.” Well we’d better believe it and get used to it also because it’s going to get worse. And what can one do? Well try and unscramble an egg and see how far you’ll get. Is money the root of all evil? Well money made to buy guns and kill innocent people sure is. Clearly you are reaping what you’ve sowed here. The measure you give is the measure you get.
Ron, i disagree with you that money is the root of all evil. Guns themselves are not even evil. The question becomes, is Man evil? I don’t believe so. I do however believe men are capable of creating acts of evil.
Even if you were to get rid of all the guns in the country, something that would require no less than an act of god btw, that will not solve the inherent problem of people killing people. If somebody wants to do something, they will invariably find a way of doing it.
The solution to ending violence does not have to do with getting rid of guns or any other potential weapons although it would be a small step toward that goal its not the whole solution. We humans as a species must first look inward and decide that we can no longer condone violence before we surrender those weapons. We are not yet at that point, but we may yet see it some day as a species.
As for the article itself, they stated they were still investigating the case. They don’t know why he did what he did. There could be any number of reasons that could justify what he did, in the Deputy’s mind in any case. You never can tell where, when, how or why someone is going to break.

Interesting.
Many people mistakenly believe the adage is really, “money is the root of all evil,” when in fact, it is not. I think it says, “money is but one of many roots of evil” or something along those lines.
Guns don’t kill people – people kill people.
Still, there’s nothing worse than people who are wealthy, ignorant idiots.
I wish I was one.
