UFC 78: Validation, Set for Nov. 17
Colorado Springs – Word came that UFC 78: “Validation”, will be held November 17, 2007 in Newark, New Jersey for the first time in over two years. The pay-per-view (PPV) card, being marketed as “Validation,” will feature controversial match-ups that will inflame fans’ sensibilities leading up fight night, including a battle of unbeaten TUF winners in a showdown between Michael Bisping and Rashad Evans. Both are undefeated, although Bisping’s most recent performance against Matt Hamill will surely leave many MMA fans confused and wondering what UFC President Dana White, is thinking.
As debatable as the Bisping (15-0) vs Evans (15-0-1) fight may seem, there are other equally intriguing fights scheduled, including Houston Alexander‘s (8-1) fight with Chute Box powerhouse fighter, Thiago Alves(11-0). Karo “The Heat” Parisyan (25-4), long thought to be the UFC’s preiminent judo specialist, will have his hands full when he faces Cuban judo Olympian, UFC newcomer Hector Lombard (11-2-1), who has victories over UFC veterans Drew Fickett and Josh Burkman.
Spencer “The King” Fisher (20-3) will take on exciting Frankie “The Answer” Edgar (7-0) in another intriguing fight that matches up the popular Fisher with growing sensation Edgar, who has shown impressive forms in victories over Tyson Griffin and Mark Bocek.

I can’t wait. Beginning to dislike Dana as well. We have a friend who has a friend fighting in the next PPV. That’s cool. We’ve gone to see some of the local stuff, but this is even better.

I agree with you totally regarding Dana White. Somehow, the pairing between Bisping and Evans seems insulting to Hamill – unless White tosses Hamill to the wolves by pitting him up against someone like, dare I say, Chuck Liddell, who seems to have lost his own killer instinct inside the Octagon.
Dana’s gonna end up his own worst enemy. I liked the way he handled the TUF crybaby last night, though. Pussy.
